The Floater Substitute is responsible for providing leadership for adult students with intellectual and developmental disabilities when another staff member is absent. He / She is to ensure the safety and well-being of the students and provide any necessary direct care. The Floater Substitute reports to the Director of Hope and Thrive Academy. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Job responsibilities very due to placement.
Job Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age requirement is 18.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Must have the physical health and capacity to demonstrate regular job attendance.
- Must be able to drive a car/van and possess a class D Tennessee operator’s license.
- Must subscribe to the Agency’s Mission Statement and Organizational Values.
