Summary/objective:
The Director of ECM is responsible to the Administrator of Educational Services. Job components include supervising and scheduling personnel, operating the childcare programs consistently with agency policies and procedures, budget compliance, assuring client safety and rights, and developing curriculum for the childcare center. The Director of ECM may be subject to call outside normal working hours.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of full-time work experience with a group of young children; with at least one year of experience in administration or supervision.
- Desired qualifications would include an advanced degree or continuing training in early childhood education.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to lead group meetings and supervise and direct the work of others.
- Personality traits that relate warmly and effectively with young children, staff, co-workers, parents, volunteers, and community members.
- Meets health and physical requirements including a tuberculosis skin test and drug screening prior to employment.
- Be in general good health that allows for regular job attendance.
- Upon acceptance of employment, employee must complete the following training: detection, reporting, and prevention of child abuse; CPR and First Aid; and a minimum of 20 hours in- service annually.
Salary: $48,000.00 per year
